WRITE A NEW TUNE - I just got back from a sleepy little one night stand. The crowd wasn't dancin' and nobody would clap their hands. The manager said, "Don't bother comin' 'round again". Well I didn't get mad 'cause the manager done me wrong. I sat right down and started writing this here song. Once I got started well it really didn't take too long. Gonna write a new tune. Gonna play it for you soon. Gonna write a new tune. Gonna play it for you soon. Gonna write a new song and it really shouldn't take too long. Well I went right back to that sleepy little one horse town. I jumped on stage as the cops was shuttin' it down. Started singing my tune and I really blew away the crowd. Well the manager said, "You can come back anytime". "Keep singin' that song and lettin' your star shine." "But don't ask for no money 'cause I just can't spare a dime.
